  7. Tindakan Pas memainkan semula isu negara Islam dalam usaha menarik sokongan pengundi Melayu, menyebabkan semakin ramai pemimpin DAP tampil membantah parti tersebut.

  8. Selepas mendapat kritikan daripada pemimpin tertinggi DAP, ketua-ketua cawangan parti itu turut menyertai bantahan tersebut.Naib Pengerusi Cawangan DAP Taman Ehsan, L.P. Selvam pula berkata, semua calon Pas perlu ditolak kerana dikhuatiri akan menyekat kebebasan bukan Islam di negara ini.
